I found this to be an ok item for the price. It doesn't have the harsh, visual effect of a regular metal spreader bar, nor does it have the wider width that I would prefer, but all in all, it's a handy item to have around when you want someone to feel extra restrained. I tried this out on my boy and put his ankles in the outside cuffs, and his wrists in the middle ones. If someone wanted to, since the hands are in such close proximity to the other cuffs and to each other, they can just wiggle around a bit, and undo the velcro. So, I primarily use it for ankles only now.
